Katie Dollarhide Pauley, 89, longtime resident of the Redland community, died Wednesday at Plaquemine, La., where she had been living with her daughter the past two years.
Mrs. Pauley was born Aug. 6, 1897, in Sevier County, Arkansas. She came to Redland as a child, spending her youth there. Moving away for several years, she returned to Redland in 1947 and lived there until two years ago. She was a member of the Redland Methodist church and had been active in the MOMS Club of Idabel.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Pauley, and one son, James Louis Pauley.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ellis Callsis, Plaquemine, La., one brother, Albert Dollarhide, Idabel; three half-brothers, Wesley Dollarhide, Calera; Leonard Dollarhide, Broken Bow, and Louis Dollarhide, Oklahoma City, and one half-sister, Estrella Lemoine, Muskogee.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Redland Methodist Church, with the Rev. Terry Fox officiating. Burial will be in the Dension Cemetery under direction of the Norwood Funeral Home
