Joe was a proud alumni of the University of Waterloo where he earned his degree in mathematics and computer science, and worked as a computer programmer for several years before settling into a career as a Registrar for the Radio College of Canada. He was an avid gardener and woodworker, a multi-talented and thoroughly knowledgeable craftsman with a gigantic heart who especially loved and spoiled his feline companions. Joe could repair or replace nearly everything mechanical or electrical, and build almost anything from start to finish. He was also recently recognized as an honourable member of the Elmira Rod and Gun Club, an acknowledgement of his lifelong dedication and immeasurable contributions to the club's sustainability and infrastructure. Joe shared his passion and respect for the sport as a firearm safety instructor for several years during which he affected the lives of numerous beginner enthusiasts who, thereafter, also went on to explore and enjoy the myriad of possible sport related directions and levels. Joe was always eager to share his interests with others and made himself available to help out with anything, wherever and whenever he possibly could! His presence is indescribably missed by family, friends, and felines alike!
