Mr. Albert Lee Lance, 83 of Dalton passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center with his loving family by his bedside. Born in Gordon County, he was the son of the late Fayte Lance and Rosa Lee Allen Lance and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mallory Jade Lake; sister, Gladys Lance and brothers, McRae Lance and Henry Lance. Albert was the owner and founder of Lance Electric Motor Service since 1972. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith and served the Lord all his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bonnie Panter Lance of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Melvin Lake, and Linda and John Oxford all of Dalton; grandchildren and spouses, Tiffany and Brad Petty of Dalton, Nicole and Stephen Harmon of Columbia, SC, Lance Lake of Dalton, Lincoln and Kristen Lake of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Landry Harmon, Ryleigh Petty, Connor Lake, Emma Harmon and step-great-grandson, Kolby Trentham; sister, Velma Jo Stancill; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Faye Lance; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Scott and Rev. Tommy Crider officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery with American Legion Post # 112 in charge of graveside rites. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 P.M.
