Miss Blok, as we at 239 Everit Street in New Haven, Ct called her, moved into our house ca.1954 to help take care of my sister and me. She had a lovely upstairs bedroom with a spectacular view of East Rock.
Miss Blok also taught elementary school for many years. I remember her fondly. She had a car that was always shining and she was very quiet but loved to whistle!
Too often live-in household help does not get a place here on FAG because no one knows much about their past. So here she is.
Unfortunately I know nothing of her background or her family.
