Son of Thomas Benton Asbury, Sr. (1904-1988) & Mary Jane Muncy-Asbury (1908-1995).

Brother of William "Bill" Asbury (Deceased), & Robert "Bob" Mitchell Asbury (1927-2017).

Thomas Asbury worked at a steel mill. He died at age 18 from a compound skull fracture he sustained in an automobile accident (per WV Register of Deaths, Wyoming County, WV, 1948, Book 4, Page 12).
