Ida Alice (Bupp) Ellwein, 99, passed away Friday, February 17, 2006, at Manor Care Health Service South. She was the wife of the late Ralph W. Ellwein. Service Tuesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, York, her pastor, Rev. Deborah Volker, officiating. Burial at Suburban Memorial Gardens. Ida was born January 11, 1907, in York. She was the daughter of the late William F. and Sarah E. (Klinedinst) Bupp. She worked various jobs all her life and retired after 10 years as Manager of Shiloh Seafood, working into her 80's. Mrs. Ellwein was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of York and the Manor Club of York. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #694; the Order of the Eastern Star, York Chapter #169; the White Shrine of Jerusalem #36; and a member of AARP. Survivors include three daughters, Sara J. Newcomer and husband, Mearl of Dover, Rita A. Erney and husband, Marlin of Dover, and Flo A. Euculano of York; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Doris Senft of York, Donald Ellwein of Orlando, FL, and Edward Ellwein of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.
