Minnie attended Parkman Elementary School and DuSable High School. Minnie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, and was baptized at the Hopeful Baptist Church. Minnie was a member of the choir for a number of years, and served on the Hopeful Decoration Committee until her health failed her. Minnie also sang with the William Leverette Trio.
Minnie made her transition to her new home on Friday, February 10,2006 at 6:18p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted, loving husband of 42 years, John L. Pratt; two sisters Helen Cunine, and Ethel Lee Jackson; one sister-in-law Ida Mae Harvey (California); three aunts Mary, Margaret andMarcella; two nephews Christopher and Steve; two great nieces, a host of cousins, God Children and a special God Child Linda. A special cousin, Hazel Johnson, and life long friends Louida, Sarah and Pauline. In addition, a host of friends, neighbors and the Hopeful Church Family.
