Ann grew up with 10 brothers and sisters in the farm community of Valparaiso, Saunders County, Nebraska.

She was the first child in her large family to earn her high school diploma. After high school, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she worked at a 5 & Dime Store. For fun, she enjoyed going to dances whenever she could. After WWII started, she met the love of her life, Boyd Hill, at a dance. They married on October 9, 1993 and in 1970, they moved their family to Denver, where there were more job opportunities.

For many years, Ann worked at the shop, Eliot & 72nd Auto Repair, which was owned by 2 of her sons, where she did the books and welcomed the customers. She loved visiting with anyone who came into the shop, whether for work or to just visit. Being with family meant a lot to Ann.

After her husband passed away in 1984, she began traveling to many places in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. Her family has the photos she took, showing how much she enjoyed those trips.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd and her son, Rodney Hill, who passed away in 2012.

Obituary published 10 August 2014, The Denver Post; Olinger Highland Mortuary.
