Shirley Joyce Bausch, 73, resident of 26140 Church St., Venango, Pa., died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Beverly Healthcare in Cambridge Springs. Born on October 15, 1932 in Meadville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Henry L. Lasher and Belle Satterlee Lasher. On December 30, 1950, she married John William Bausch, and he survives. A homemaker, she was very involved with Venango Borough activities. She served as a member of the Venango Board of Directors where she also had been a librarian; was a 20 year member of Venango Volunteer Ambulance Service which she helped charter and where she had been president; and some years ago was a Venango Girl Scout leader. Her interests included playing bingo, knitting, and crocheting. Shirley was a people person and enjoyed spending time with her family. Family surviving her in addition to her husband of 55 years include three daughters, Patricia Higgins and her husband, William of Cambridge Springs, Paulette Klinginsmith of Venango, and Shelly Bausch of Venango; a son, John William Bausch, II, and his wife, Kathryn of Venango; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Garnett of Ft. Hood, Texas, Marsha Johnson of Cambridge Springs, Benjamin Higgins of Greenville, S.C., Jessica Higgins of Guys Mills, Kelly Klinginsmith of Meadville, Melissa Klinginsmith, Terry Klinginsmith, Jr., Nathan Bausch, Dustin Bausch , and Meghan Bausch, all of Venango. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Miles Bausch of Pittsburgh.
