He was born Friday, November 2, 1956, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Cecil Toland and Margaret Jane Rutan Toland.
Mr. Toland was a graduate of West Greene High School. He worked as a laborer for a railroad, 84 Lumber Co., C&S Tire and Larry Blair.
Surviving are two sisters, Nellie Denman of New Freeport and Goldie Toland of Waynesburg; two brothers, Jesse LeRoy Toland of Waynesburg and Edward Eugene Toland of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Alvin Toland.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation or services. Private burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery.
