David C. Dicker, 54, of Stroudsburg died Friday, August 8 in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Valerie (Lambert) Dicker. They had observed their 21st wedding anniversary in May. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ he was a son of Edmund Dicker of Kunkletown and the late Helen (Piatt) Dicker. He was also a step-son of JoAnn (Parayos) Dicker of Kunkletown. A 1978 graduate of Easton Area High School, David worked as a welder and assembler for D & B Services, Inc. in Kunkletown for 26 years. David was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting and birding and especially trout fishing. He was a member of the Indian Mt. Rod & Gun Club. He loved to snow ski and water ski. He was a gardener and also an avid Miami Dolphins fan. In addition to his wife. father and step-mother, he is survived by a son, David S. Dicker of Stroudsburg and two brothers, James S. Dicker of Lexington, SC and Edmund R. Dicker of Easton. Memorial services will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 14 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 PM until the time of the service.
