Janice C. Baxter, 71, of O’Brien, FL, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL following a long illness. The Bell, FL native lived most of her life in O’Brien, FL. She worked at the school cafeteria’s in Live Oak, Branford, Jasper and White Springs for over 15 years. She was a member of the Burlington Santa Fe Church of Christ in Branford.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years; William Gene Baxter of O’Brien, daughter; Lori & Michael Koon of O’Brien, son; William C. Baxter of O’Brien, sisters; Martha Rose, Lynn Benlolo and Karen Folsom all of O’Brien, two grandchildren; Derrick Baxter and Brad Hutchins and one great-grandchild; Myranda Watson. She is preceded in death by her sister; Barbara Roberts.
Funeral services for Mrs. Baxter will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 in the Burlington Santa Fe Church of Christ, Branford, FL with Mr. Ken Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery, Branford, FL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at the funeral home in Branford.
