Charles, (Medlin), 70, of Caro, Michigan, passed away in his sleep in the early morning hours of Friday, August 8, 2014. Charles was born to the late Evelyn Justeen Swicegood and Leo Wright Medlin.
He proudly served this country as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic in the United States Navy and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. He was an out-of-doors person who loved camping, hunting and fishing.
Charles is survived by his only son, Charles Allen and Andrea Swicegood; grandson, Hyder Charles Swicegood; companion, Susan Taylor; former wife, Shirley Y. Gibson; and many other loved ones, friends and acquaintances.
A celebration of his life was on Saturday, July 16, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. A veteran’s burial took place.
