Wayne Dixon, 57, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Sunday, August 10, 2014.

Wayne was born in Waxahachie, Texas on September 20, 1956 to Tommy E. and Patsy R. (Southard) Dixon. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1975.

He worked for Leggett and Platt for over thirty years as a supervisor and for Legend Oaks for one year in maintenance. He was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal working and welding.

He is survived by sons: Matt Dixon and Nick Dixon; his mother, Pat Dixon; two brothers: Lynn Dixon and wife, Connie and Jamie Dixon; one sister, Vickie Krajca and husband, Lawrence and the mother of his sons, Kari Henderson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Dixon and one brother, Curtiss Dixon.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Eddie Minor officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
