Sue Elam Schwanz, 94, died on August 7, 2014, at Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Hiram Elam, of Roxboro.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn Elam, Sharon Elam Linscott (Jack), Howard Elam (Anne) and Donna Elam Smith; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be held 11AM Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Person Memorial Cemetery.
