Ferdinand Frank Baumler, 89, formerly of Daggett, Mi., passed away of natural causes on July 15 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Duane and Tina Dill of Menominee, where he lived for the past year.

Born April 22, 1925 in Daggett, Mi., to William and Helen (Boye) Baumler, on Oct. 26, 1951, he married Rita Mae Dugre in Nadeau, Mi. and she preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2012 after 60 years of marriage. He worked at Rustic in Stephenson and the Village of Daggett for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, was a Cubs fan and loved his cats.

Survivors include his children, Fred (Peggy), of Bark River, Mi., Karen Baumler, of Escanaba, Mi., Tina (Duane) Dill, of Menominee, Mi., Brenda Luft, of Hermansville, Mi. and Sue (Bill) St. Vincent, of Vulcan, Mi.; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; good family friend from Chicago, Jackie and her four children, Virginia Wall, Tony Alias, Mike Maus and Sherry Lynn, where he hunted and shot his 8 point buck last year.

He was preceded in death by grandsons, Jeffrey Allan Dill, Christian Baumler and Curtis Grondin; a brother-in-law, Don Dugre; brothers, Art, Albert and Wally and a sister, Marie.

Visitation was held at Anderson Kell Funeral Home, Menominee on Sunday, July 20 at 3 p.m. until time of a Vigil Prayer Service at 5 p.m., with Deacon Steve Gretzinger officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Ford presiding. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood.
