GOSHEN - Henry F. Cripe, 68, of 325 Dewey Ave., died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday in Goshen General Hospital, where he was admitted earlier in the day. At one time he was the owner of Goshen Trailer Co., now Globemaster Co., worked for many years for the City Dairy and Eby Dairy, and later delivered trailers for Travel Equipment Co. of Howe. He was born near North Webster May 21, 1904, and married Bertha Ellen Cripe Oct. 28, 1925. He was a member of the Maplecrest Country Club and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Henry F. Jr. of Goshen, and Jerry L. of Gainesville, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Miller and Mrs. Charles Reed Jr., both of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and six sisters, including Miss Gladys Cripe and Mrs. Victor Yoder of Goshen and Mrs. Roscoe Holdeman of New Paris. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where tentative funeral arrangements are set for Sunday afternoon. Rev. Spencer Gentle, pastor of First Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery.
