James Arthur Wise was born on December 3, 1883 in Tennessee, the son of Jacob Fredrick Wise (1860-1940) and Louisa M "Louise" (Underwood) Wise (1851-1917).
A "concession operator," he was 74 years old, had been married but was divorced and living at 416 2nd Avenue South, Nashville when he died of heart problems on September 17, 1958 at Nashville General Hospital. Burial was two days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
