DISTRICT DEATHS.
Gerald Robert Burgess.
ORAN---Gerald Robert Burgess, 59 years old, of Oran, died Saturday at his home.
He was born Nov. 13, 1922, at Painton, son of Frank and Mildred Howard Burgess.
He was married to the former Ruby Hogg on July 9, 1945. She survives.
He was employed by a Chevrolet manufacturer in Flint, Mich., more than 23 years prior to retiring.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Navy, and was a member of Lakeville Masonic Lodge 489 of Bell City.
Also surviving are a son, S.Sgt. Gary Burgess, serving with the Air Force in Italy; daughters, Mrs. Carol Taylor and Mrs. Doris Tekiele, both of Montrose, Mich., Miss Pamella Burgess, Jackson, and Miss Karen Burgess, of the home; brother, Jack Burgess, Eugene, Ore., sister, Mrs. Edith Howard, Advance, and six grandchildren.
A brother preceded him in death.
The body is at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where friends may call.
Service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. Calvin Baumgartner of Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery.
