"The funeral of Mrs. Julia M. Walker, aged 61, was held Thursday afternoon from the family home on North Lackawanna street, Rev. C. Arthur Whlthead officiating. Mrs. Walker had been in declining health for some time and was taken to the Strong Memorial Hospital recently for observation, at Rochester. An operation was performed last week but her condition was such that she was unable to recover, death occurring Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Walker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nicholas Bill, and was born in Wayland May 19, 1868, where she has always resided. In September, 1886, she was married to Judson E. Walker, who survives her, together with three daughters, Mrs. Fred Mehlenbacher of Wayland, Mrs. John Dougherty of Binghamton and Mrs. Howard Babcock of Hornell, also seven grandchildren."
