Mary Louise Uphold
Mary Louise Uphold, 75, of Daybrook, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011.
Mary was born in Maidsville, on Feb. 6, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Opal Richards Bonivich.
She was a homemaker, loved dogs, enjoyed gardening, canning and crocheting. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Uphold; her children, Joseph A. Tomago & wife Martha of Westover, Virginia Mills & husband Robert of Westover, and Deborah Smith & husband Bill of Warren, OH; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her brother, Robert Bonivich & wife Phyllis; and her sister, Francis Conway & husband Elmer “Cub”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Jo Tomago; and her brothers, John and William Bonivich.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in the funeral home with Chaplain James R. Riggs, Fairmont General Hospital Chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
