Violet L. Aaserude, 80, died at the Watkins Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 28, 1998.

She was born May 5, 1917 at Juanita, North Dakota to Oscar and Gina Halverson Olson.
She married Arthur Aaserude in 1937.

Her main mission in life was to take care of her children.

She is survived by six sons, Richard, Melvin, Jerome, Steven, Calvin (Trudy) and Daniel (Leslie); five daughters, Carol (Don) Hill, Diane (Alex) Gallegos, Laverne (Roger) Vold, Gloria (Norm) Levandowski and Penelope Aaserude; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; daughter, Anna Marie; and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 3 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church after 2 p.m. on Saturday. Martin-Myhre Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
