Barbara Ann Beasley, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 in her home. She was born in Paris, Arkansas on July 5, 1943.

She was a beautician for 50 years and worked for years at Village Beauty Salon. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband James Beasley.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Rose and her husband Tim of Chantilly, VA; one sister, Ruth Gattis of Fort Smith, AR; one step-daughter, Carla Beasley of Bushkill, PA; one step-son, Greg Beasley of Fayetteville, AR and two grandchildren, Abigail and Joshua Rose of Chantilly, VA.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brent Summerhill officiating, burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Tim Rose, Allen Gattis, Nick Akins, Dewaine Summerhill, Tony White and Joe Wewers.

NOTE: Barbara was first married to Richard Dale Young. Her second marriage was to James C Beasley who not only became a member of the family but was also very close friend of my Dad's, so it was always a fun time when they all got together. Mom has several photos of Barbara and I together and I have heard stories all my life of her babysitting me sometimes, of course I was to young to remember. I hope to get a photo or two of us together to add to her page in the near future.

Headstone has been reset but they still havent added Barbaras death date on it yet. Will continue to watch for an updated photo
