Funeral services were Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for George H. Ludwig, 59, formerly of Albany, Minn., who died May 12 in St. Michael's Hospital, Newark. Burial was in Forest Green Park, Marlboro.

Arrangements were by O'Boyle Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

George Ludwig was born May 25, 1930, in Albany to Henry and Stella (Keppers) Ludwig. He was a longshoreman at Sealand Co., Port Elizabeth, 19 years and a six-year veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include daughter and son, Debora, Stamford, Conn.; James, Poway, Calif.; stepmother, Marie Ludwig, Albany; sisters and brothers, Margaret Hansen, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Fendell (Lucy) Carlson, Minnetonka, Minn.; Vincent and Mrs. Jerry (Theresa) Evens, Albany; Rita Gottwald, Willmar, Minn.; Mrs. Ron (Mary) Sadlowsky, Avon, Minn.; and Daniel A., Red Wing, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Francis and John.
