When she was little she was quite an athlete, competing in water ski competitions on Douglas Lake and she even took majorette lessons for a little while, even though she wasn't in the band. She graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1972. She attended ETSU for about three years and eventually went back to school later in life, receiving her degree in 2001 from Pellissippi State University. On 4 January 1975, she was wed to Charles E. Householder. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Seymour. She also had two sons: Russell and Chris, a granddaughter: Charlotte and a grandson: Benjamin whom she was all very proud. She loved to read science fiction, fantasy, romance and westerns. She passed away at 3:59 am at the age of 59 of respiratory failure at the LeConte hospital on Middle Creek in Sevierville.
