Published in Arizona Daily Star (August 17, 2014):

Virginia A. Davies passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014, in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born September 1, 1923, in Ardmore, PA., to Dr. Clifford and Audrey Arnold.

"Ginnie," as she was known to everyone, graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and worked as a reservation agent with American Airlines before marrying Captain Frank Davies in 1948 and moving to Tucson.

In 1951 Ginnie was widowed, as was her mother the following year.

They moved in together and spent the next 34 years traveling to Europe and the Middle East, socializing, and generally enjoying life until her mom passed away in 1986.

Ginnie continued on in Tucson to the present, employed by the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, and was a member of the Tucson Republican Women's Club, volunteering at the Tucson Republican HQ.

She was a member of Tucson's Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Ginnie is survived by her three nephews, Ted Williams of Gloucester, VA, Bruce Williams of Sisters, OR, and Cliff Williams of Williamsburg, VA.

A note of interest, her uncle was General "Hap" Arnold, father of the US Air Force.

She enjoyed life and people immensely, feared nothing, said what she thought, and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

She will be inurned at Ft. Bliss in October alongside her mom and dad and her husband's memorial. At her request there will be no services held. Arrangements by Bring's Broadway Chapel.
