ARTHUR S. DORNBLASER, a former resident of Hagerstown, died at his home in Mill Hall, Pa., where he had resided for the last 30 years, aged 81. He was a charter member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Jessie Dornblaser; daughter, Mrs. Joseph Foltz, Hagerstown; and sister, Mrs. Guyer Rumbnerger, Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were conducted at the Kraiss Mortuary Chapel; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

A. S. Dornblaser Dies At Lamar - - - Piano Tuner, 81, Had Been Ill One Month - - - ARTHUR S. DORNBLASER well-known musician and piano tuner of this place died at his home Saturday evening at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of four weeks.

Only last month Mr. Dornblaser was honored when he attended the 40th Jubilee Convention of National Association of
Piano Tuners, at Buffalo , N. Y., as the oldest of 200 members present. Since then he has undergone surgical treatment at the Lock Haven Hospital, and had returned to his home here to recuperate.

A member of one of Lamar's well known families, he was born here and had resided here for the past 29 years. He also taught school here for two years in his younger days and was active in all church work.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and of the Church Council, until he retired from that position a year ago.

As a young man, Mr. Dornblaser attended the Normal school at Lock Haven, and continued his studies at what was then called the Missionary Institute at Selinsgrove, now Susquehanna University. Upon graduation, he studied for one year at the New England Conservatory of Music at Boston
Returning to Lamar, he remained here for one year before moving to Hagerstown, Md. Two years following the death of his parents in 1917, he moved back again and has resided here since. Since that time he has been active in the piano tuning profession at Lamar. Bellefonte and particularly in the State College area.

After the death of his first wife, the former Elizabeth Isminger of Funkstown, Md. By whom he had one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Foltz, of Hagerstown, he married his second wife, Jessie Straub, of Berwick, who survives.

In addition to his wife and daughter, the other survivor are: six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. H. G. Rumberger, of Kansas City, Mo.
