Graveside inurnment for Dary H. Housworth, 63, Lawrence was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. He died November 2, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Dary was born on January 10, 1948 in Lawrence, KS the son of Wilson Hearl and Lola LaDuke Housworth.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked in the construction business and was also an auctioneer.

He married Carol J. Kiefer on June 20, 1995 in Victorville, CA. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Paula Greco and Cheryl Arnold, both of Lawrence, and Dani Hulings, Meridan, KS; one son, William Donen, Lawrence; three nieces, Sherri Housworth, Satin Kays and Penny DeLoach, and one sister Sarah Peters, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Dary H. “Beau” Housworth, II in 1987; and two brothers, Gayle Housworth in 1991 and Wilson Edward Housworth in 1939.

Memorial contributions were made in his name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society – Mid-America Chapter and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
