Viola was the daughter of ISAAC F. HUTSON and SUSAN VIRGINIA DAVIS. She married (1) James Hare in 1897, and (2) William N. Edgell in 1923. She was a widow when she married William (he was divorced) -- their marriage was brief, as he passed away in 1930. They had no children, and Viola never remarried.

Her mother's name was listed as Susan Hutson on her birth record, but as Virginia Davis on her death certificate. Also, the birth date above is from her birth record, but her death certificate has the year as 1870 (same month and day).
