Louis M. Haeussler died last Friday morning, March 10th of consumption, after a lingering illness of about six months. He was born at Melheim on the Rhine, in the year 1840, and immigrated to this country and settled in New York state, when but 12 years of age. In 1862 the deceased married Fredericka Waggoner, He came to Monticello, with his wife and family
about 25 years ago, and has since made this place his home. Mr. Haeussler was the father of fourteen children. He is survived by his wife and six children two of whom, Kate and William, make their home with their mother. The funeral services were held from the family residence, hist Sunday afternoon, Rev. David Street of the Presbyterian church officiating.
