Educated in Amsterdam, NY school systems.
Served in the U. S. Air Force, from 1947 1950 in the Military Police in Panama.
Married Mary Rice on July 5, 1963 at Eagle Mills, N.Y.
After the service he owned and operated a bulk milk transport business then worked at Putnam Memorial Hospital (SVMC) in maintenance until Weston Hadden Convalescent Center (CLR) was constructed and he was made maintenance supervisor of Weston Hadden.
Retired in June 1991 and he and his wife Mary, moved to The Villages of Lady Lake, Florida until they returned to Bennington in September 2006 to be closer to family
He enjoyed "tinkering" with anything mechanical, music and dancing, woodworking, crafts, hunting, and his small dogs.
Survived by his wife and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Alvin and Herbert, and sister Iva.
Interment - Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge, NY.
