Helene M. Franz, 83, of Williamson Road, Meadville, died at the Meadville Medical Center Saturday, April 12, 2008.

She was born in Corry Sept. 23, 1924, to Carl M. Franz and Hazel Coe.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School, Meadville Business College and attended Penn State Titusville for two years. She was a retired accountant, having worked at Talon Inc. for 30 years.

She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of America Revolution.

Ms. Franz is survived by her brother, Robert Franz, and his wife Jeanette (Hargenrater) of Meadville; two nieces, Stephanie Franz and Amy (Franz) Lippert(Michael); and one great-niece, Emma Lippert.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl Franz.

A funeral and committal service will be held at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Union City.

The family suggests memorials be made to Crawford County Historical Society, 411 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
