Armando M. Salinas, Sr., age 62, passed away July 17, 2009 at a local hospital.
He was born on October 15, 1946 in , Texas. Armando was an avid golfer for many years before becoming ill. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, watching sports, but most of all he loved helping raise his grandsons. Armando will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Juanita Salinas; brothers, Richard, Guadalupe and Roberto Salinas.
Armando is survived by his son, Armando Salinas, Jr.; daughter, Monica Salinas; grandsons, Armando Salinas III, Brandon and Joshua Salinas. He is also survived by his sisters, Otilia (Fred) Sanchez, Oralia (Robert) Zepeda, San Juanita (Miguel) Mora, Mary Ann Salinas; brothers, Vernon and Pedro Salinas; and also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2009 at Funeraria Del Angel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
