James "Corky" Carlton Heath, 56, of Huntsville, Texas passed away August 15, 2014.

Corky loved firefighting. He currently was serving with Pine Prairie Volunteer Fire Department as well as volunteered with Huntsville Fire Department. He also served as Fire Chief for New Waverly Volunteer Fire Department for several years. Corky always wanted "Moon Pies & R.C. Cola" at fires. He was one of the best pumpers that ever existed. He worked for TDCJ, Kirkland Crane, and drove hot shot and big trucks. He loved eating fried fish from the Café Texan.

Corky will be remembered as a man that was always giving and wanted NOTHING in return. He loved to help others in any situation and he touched many lives and hearts.

Visitation of friends and firefighters will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home with service to start at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
