CREWS - Clyde Wilton Crews, 72, of 650 Cole Rd., died Sunday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Crews was born in White Springs, Fla., and had lived in Jacksonville 30 years. He was a member of Arlington Lodge No. 309 F & A.M.; Scottish Rite Bodies and Morocco Temple of the Shrine and of the Bricklayers and Masons Union Local 2. He was a retired brick mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Crews of Jacksonville; a daughter Mrs. Margaret Carroll of Miami; two sons, John Acker of St. Petersburg and James Acker of Vero Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Colban, and Mrs. Eunice Jarvis, both of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Hardage-Krauss Northside Funeral Home, 34th and Main St., with the Rev. John R. Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, with Masonic rites at the graveside conducted by Arlington Lodge 309, F & A.M., members of which are requested to meet at the lodge hall at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be honorary, Joe Sheil, Steve Gasque, Eugene Taylor, James Cooper, C.C. Smith, and Henry Grantham.
