James Paul Barringer Jr., 75, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born July 30, 1939, in Rowan County, the son of the late Ruby Starnes Barringer and James P. Barringer Sr.
James graduated from Rockwell High School in 1958 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a photographer for the Salisbury Post for 40 years and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
Preceding him in death were his mother-in-law, Adelaide Jackson; and sisters-in-law Patti Jackson Burrage and Dottie Barringer.
