Dental Surgeon Dies In Crash
Douglas (Staff) - A 56-year-old Ottawa dentist was killed near here Friday in a head on collision which also clamed the life of a local man.
John Lennox Ablack, of 1468 Randall Ave., Ottawa, died in the two car collision on Highway 60, three miles east of Douglas. The drive of the other car, Maurice Joseph Landreault, 36, of R.R. 1 Douglas, died in hospital.
There were no passengers in either car and police are still uncertain what caused the 6:15 a.m. accident on the curving road. Police said Ablack was east bound and Landreault west bound when they collided head on in the east bound lane. Douglas is 10 miles west of Renfrew.
