The first time I was able to locate Wilson William Hilyer (born c.1850) by name was on the U.S. Census is 1860. He was about ten years old and is listed as the son of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Jane (Rose) Hilyer. Based on the 1850 U.S. Census record of Ezekiel and Elizabeth, I believe Wilson William Hilyer was born in West Sparta, Livingston County, New York. To date, I have been unable to locate the name of his first wife, but believe MacKinter to be her maiden name. They had two children; James MacKinter Hilyer (born April 28, 1870) and Sarah E Hilyer (born c. 1873). Wilson William Hilyer married his second wife Sophia Josephine Beebe (born. February 21, 1851) and they also had two children; Blanche Almeida Hilyer (born June 3, 1882) and Herman Beebe Hilyer (born August 15, 1884). Sophia died October 21, 1886. Wilson William Hilyer (a.k.a William) was living in Rochester, Monroe County, New York in 1890. He married his third wife Margaret J. Reed on June 22, 1891 but their marriage ended six years later in a divorce on February 4, 1898. Wilson William Hilyer died on November 15, 1902 and was buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe County, New York on November 19, 1902.
