Eula A. McAfee, 83, a resident of rural Brayton, passed away Saturday evening at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of Frank Riley and Dollie Mae Yarger Garside, she was born July 30, 1902 in Cass County and attended the Atlantic High School. She lived in Cass and Audubon Counties most of her life and lived on a farm south of Brayton for the past 40 years. She was married to Lester D. Parmley on May 15, 1920 and later married Herman J. Eden on March 17, 1927. He died April 30, 1954 and she married Lloyd C. McAfee on March 3, 1955. He died September 25, 1970. She was a member of the Massena Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star 429.
She is survived by two sons, Charles L. Parmley of Brayton and Howard L. Eden of Atlantic; a brother, Earl Garside of Atlantic; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Schwartz of Atlantic, Mrs. Isabelle Wandling of Des Moines and Mrs. Mose (Velma) Bell of Atlantic; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter Dollie C. Parmley at the age of one, and a great grandson Scott Mark Landsberger.
Services held at Roland Funeral Home Atlantic Iowa Tuesday January 7, 1986 with concluding services at Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic Iowa.
