"Mrs. Ethel E. Smith

Mrs. Ethel E. Smith, 69, 676 Broadway, Benton Harbor, was dead on arrival at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Mercy hospital.

She was born July 3, 1889, in South Bend, Ind. Her husband preceded her in death in 1952.

Surviving are two sons, Sgt. 1/c William Smith, with the United States Army in Okinawa and Charles of Benton Harbor; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Blevins and Miss Mary Smith, both of Benton Harbor; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Lord of Niles; a brother Albert Hoover of South Bend and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Frost funeral home. The Rev. James Cook, pastor of the First Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
