The son of Conrad and Louise McAfee, he was born in Cass county June 24, 1894 and spent most of his life in the Anita vicinity. Following his marriage to Eula Eden March 2, 1955, they lived south of Anita until retiring and moving to Brayton. He was a member of the Anita Masonic lodge and the Anita American Legion.
Surviving besides his wife are two stepson, Charles Parmley of Brayton and Howard Eden of Atlantic, two brothers W.D. McAfee of Anita and Cecil McAfee of Jefferson, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Perkins of Hurley, S.D. and Mrs. Minnie Snyder of Viborg, S.D. and several step-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Jessie Johnson preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Roland funeral home, the Rev Harold A. Smith officiating. The Anita American Legion will be in charge of the graveside service in Evergreen cemetery at Anita. Atlantic News Telegraph 9-26-1970
