The former Miss Inez L. Armstrong, she was the youngest daughter of the late William and Minnie Armstrong, born April 11, 1900 in Adair County.
She was married April 10, 1935 to Lloyd C. McAfee.
Surviving with the husband are two sisters, Mrs. Mina Daniels of Adair and Mrs. Neva Lovell of Norwalk; two brothers Wayne Armstrong of Atlantic and Dean Armstrong of Wiota; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were an infant daughter, her parents, and one brother, Lynn.
She was a member of the Anita Congregational church, the O.E.S. and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R.K. Derry at 2 o'clok at the Anita Congregational church. Pall bearers were John Perce ,Roger Bissell, Charles Heck, John Harmsen, Everett Lumun, and Raymond Lantz. Flowers were in charge of Bernice Harmsen, Rosa Koob and Margaret Heck. Dick Bissell sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and Going Home" accompanied by Mrs. Raymond Lantz.
Members of the Eastern Star attended the services in a body and performed ritualistic services at the grave.
Burial was in Anita Evergreen cemetery.

Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd C. McAfee will sympathize with them over the loss of a girl baby, who passed away shortly after birth at the Atlantic hospital early Tuesday morning. The infant was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
