Daniel Lee Jones, 60, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Box Butte General Hospital.

He was born on August 23, 1953 in Moline, IL to Frank and Barbara (Hill) Jones.

Danny was employed at Parker in Alliance as a maintenance mechanic for 10 years.

He loved riding his Harley. He was happiest with his “hog” riding down the road and always looking forward to the next ride. He also was a lover of classic cars, even fixing up his old El Camino until it was a beauty. If he wasn’t off for a ride on a Saturday, you could probably count on finding him hitting a few garage sales. He never could pass up a bargain. He was also an animal lover, from his pet Iguana, “Iggy” to his latest dog, Hemi, was his best buddy.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Jon) Van Camp of Davenport, IA, his grandchildren, Dakota Johnson, Keaton Van Camp and Owen Van Camp and his great-granddaughter, Cora. He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Barbara Jones of Alliance, his brothers and sisters, Matthew (Debbie) Jones of Erie, IL, Aaron (Donna) Jones, Liz (Dana) Daniels and Kathy (Bill) Hudson all of Alliance, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David.
