Bobby Dee Amos was born on January 7th, 1928 in Maysville, Oklahoma to John P. and Sylvia E. Amos and passed away on June 19, 2014 at his home east of Noble, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Mr. Amos grew up in the Maysville area as one of 15 children to John and Sylvia Amos. He attended Maysville public schools as a youth and graduated from Barber College in Oklahoma City. Bobby Dee Amos served in the U.S. Army for a time and traveled to Korea before the War broke out in 1950. God spared him the terrible duty of fighting for is country as some of his brothers had to endure. Later he started working as a plasterer in California where he met his wife Laura Ann Foulk. They married on March 14, 1952 and had three children together before moving back to Oklahoma in 1962. Bob remarried after the death of Laura in 1994. He married Neta Black and they shared many good times in their last years before she went to be with the Lord in January of 2013. They comforted each other and shared their families together. Bob and Neta loved having grandkids over anytime. He was best known for being a giver of his time to any that needed help, and would always look to see what needed to be done around his widowed sister’s homes or church family homes. Bob was very handy and seemed to enjoy helping those who needed it. He was active in all the churches he has attend over the years, and left this world as a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church where he had many friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ. Bob loved the Lord and raised his three children to do the same.
