Mary Ann Leslie was born 19th January 1867 at Tullintrain, Claudy, County Londonderry. She was the daughter of Samuel Leslie (Farmer) and Jane Dickson / Dixon.

On 23rd February 1893 she married Joseph Monteith Rosborough from the townland of Ballyhanedin, Banagher, County Londonderry (son of John Roseboro and Nancy Ross) at Cumber Upper Parish Church, Co Londonderry, Ireland.

They had nine children:

She left the port of Londonderry on 5th April 1914 arriving in Boston US on 16th April 1914 to start a new life in the United States with her husband and young family.

Sadly she passed away just over a year later on 3rd July 1915 at 660 East 7th Street, South Boston. Cause of death was recorded as carcinoma of the pelvis for 9 months having been operated on in February 1915. Primary cause was contributed more than likely to carcinoma of the uterus.

She was buried on 6th July 1915 in mt Hope cemetery by W. H Graham, undertakers.
