The funeral of the late Samuel Angell took place on last Sunday at Keysville, Md. Deceased was in the 84th year of his age. He leaves a widow and six children--four daughters and two sons, as follows: S. L. Angell and Mrs. H. D. Aulthouse, Taneytown; Mrs. O. D. Bierly [sic] and Mrs. C. H. Valentine of York Road, Md.; Mrs. J. H. Bussard, of Frederick, and J. H. Angell of Salt Lake City, Utah. Deceased was a special friend of Francis Scott Key and at the death of Mr. Key Mr. Angell became one of the administrators of the Key estate and subsequently purchased a large portion of the Key homestead.
