Elizabeth known as Lizzie, married Malachai Cleveland Dryman, also known as Mallie, on April 21 1918 in Robertson County, Texas. Lizzie and Mallie lived in Robertson County for several years. For a few of those years Mallie worked on the railroad. His daughter said he had to quit that because of poor eye-sight and so he began farming. The land in Robertson County was not good for farming so Lizzie's sister suggested the family join her and her family in the Abilene, Texas area. Lizzie, Mallie and the kids moved there and began farming in Denton Valley, a small community south of Clyde, Texas. They lived on that farm for forty years until they moved to be near a son in their old age in Goldthwaite, Texas.
Lizzie was a strong woman who loved cooking and creative things such as making clothes and quilting. She also loved gardening, especially roses. She was a staunch member of the Church of Christ. She went out of her way to assist her neighbors when they needed help.
She died on 14 March 1968 in her sleep of a heart attack. She had been tending the roses in her garden the day before.
