Mr. Barker was an employee of Quality Drywall. He was a member of the Flat Fork Church of God and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and small engine repair.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Barker and one granddaughter, Susan Long.
Survivors include his wife, Anita McClurg Barker, whom he married on August 9, 1981, of Soldier, two sons, Curtis Barker and Charles Barker both of Soldier, two daughters, Lucinda Barker and Delia Long both of Soldier, four brothers, Daniel Barker of Morehead, Lester Barker and Homer Barker both of Olive Hill and Willard Barker of Mansfield, Ohio, eight sisters, Shelia Burton, Faye Roberts and Sue Simmons all of Olive Hill, Debbie Armstrong of Clearfield, Teresa Blevins and Barbara Hall both of Morehead, Jewel Fultz of Soldier and Judy Cox of Warren, Ohio, his mother-in-law, Minnie Jimison McClurg of Morehead and several nieces and nephews.
