Rev. Morrison was pastor of Rock Spring A.M.E. Zion Church for almost thirty years, being appointed in 1975. He joined the Army in 1968 and served in the Korean War. He also worked in the Cumberland County School System and he was a minister for Wiseman Mortuary (Fayetteville, NC). Rev. Morrison co-founded the New Ponderosa Prayer Band and he owned Silk 'N' Things Flower Shop. He also attended Kittrell Junior College in Henderson, NC, majoring in Business. One of his quotes was: "If I don't see you in Heaven I know that you're not in New York."
