Mr. Harris, a native of Vidalia, had lived in Jacksonville for a few years. He was a retired upholsterer and a member of the Vidalia Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anne Gay Harris of Jacksonville; two daughters, Mrs. Sara Jane McDonald of Jacksonville and Mrs. Alison Carter of Webster; a brother, Bob Harris of Vidalia; four sisters, Mrs. Rose McKenzie of Augusta, Mrs. Marie Poe, Mrs. James Galloway and Mrs. Melba Anderson, all of Vidalia; four grandchildren.
